The Human Condition Lyrics & Music by Jim Heltz/Performed by the Transitory Symphony It's the human condition Affairs of the heart The quiver in your voice When she whispers we must part And you cry, cry, cry You ask Why, Why, Why Then she lies, lies, lies again You moved out of the house Found an apartment in town You fill the place with your stuff But it feels so empty ‘cause she's not around And you cry, cry, cry It's Why, Why, Why Then its bye, bye, bye again Be a man and walk a lone That is what I've been told Why must a man walk alone I don't want to walk I don't want to walk I don't want to walk alone anymore She was tired of the rain She was tired of the snow You are tired of being alone This far down the road So You cry, cry, cry You shake your head Why, Why, Why Then you sigh, sigh, sigh again It's the human condition The resilient heart Where there's nothing to pickup When your whole world falls apart So You cry, cry, cry You ask Why, Why, Why Then you try, try, try, try again

about

Here is our newest album “The Human Condition”. I hope you will take a listen. The majority of the tunes are about relationships hence the album title. In true Transitory Symphony fashion we do dabble in a variety of subjects & musical styles, for example “Run, Bernie, Run” a tribute to a certain Vermont Senator and “Late night with Sandip” a homage to Tom Haney’s friend tabla player Sandip Burman. There is some blues, beatnik jazz, folk and rock all done with The Transitory Symphony sound.

Tom and I play all of the instruments and do most of the vocal work except on “Hole in the Bucket” where Patrick Heltz handles the singing. The majority of the album was recorded up in Hyde Park at North Picture & Sound. Additional recording was done at Green Mountain Video, Inc. in Williston.

“The Human Condition" is our third Transitory Symphony album and Tom & I feel it is the best one yet. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did creating it. Let’s us know if it “shakes you like a tambourine!”

Take Care,
Jim Heltz
